Nahri Ahn

Nahri Ahn, 16, is a sophomore at Granada High School in Livermore, California. She started formal piano lessons at the age of 12, and in November 2009 she began her study of classical and theatre organ with David Hegarty of San Francisco. Since April of 2010 she has been concurrently studying classical organ with Angela Kraft Cross in San Mateo.
Nahri has participated in AGO Members' Recitals in Berkeley and San Mateo. In March 2011 she performed Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor in the Junior Bach Festival in Berkeley, and in March 2012 Bach's Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor in Oakland. Also in March 2011 she won first prize in the San Francisco AGO Chapter Young Organists' Competition, and in July 2011 second prize in the Regional AGO/Quimby Competition, representing the San Francisco Chapter, as part of the Region IX AGO Regional Convention. She has played full concerts to audiences in Reno, in Campbell, and at the AGO Regional Convention in San Francisco.

She will play several light orchestral transcriptions during David Hegarty's upcoming concert of Symphonic Pops on the Harrah Symphonic Organ at Forrest Burdette United Methodist Churchಊl 22, 2012.
